Tompall in top form

"tompall at his whiskey-voice best, as a solo act, which is as good as country rock gets; arguably the best pure singer in the outlaw/progressive country game. most of the best songs were written by shel silverstein, who wrote so many excellent songs for various artists i've lost count. a notable exception is "i can't remember", penned by glaser himself. this collection is taken from two vinyl albums released close together in the mid-70s. it's been a long time getting to cd, but it's worth the wait; the production and musical precision is excellent, despite (or maybe becasue of?) the artist's claim that he was stoned throught the productions."
Still Good, Current Music

"I first heard "Put Another Log on the Fire" in the mid-seventies on the radio while car pooling, and we all thought is was a good joke. For some reason, recently, the tune came to mind again, and I found this album. Well, the title song may be just something to laugh about (it is!), but Tompall Glaser is a great singer, and every single one on the songs on the album is great!"
Can't Go Wrong
