I first caught sight of the album when it first came out during the summer of '84, and to tell you the truth, I bought the album because of the title, and the fact that I was a Styx fan, and I thought that Tommy Shaw would come up with some of the same material. I was plesantly suprised to find out that this was a much more mature effort on the part of Shaw. There are a couple of the old standard rock and roll songs "ala Styx" but, for the most part many of the cuts were more thought out, and the melodies were more complex, almost modern jazz like. I found the whole album very pleasing. I wound up playing it alot, and my old tape deck eventually ate it. Alas, I have not had the chance to get another. But don't worry, i'll find one.
