"I am very in to Tommy Castro's music as well as Jimmy Hall's, but the Lloyd Jones tunes were a big surprise. I have seen these guys perform together with a different rhythm section and they always pleased the crowd. Double Trouble is at their best on this cd.
The Lloyd Jones opening cut has a rockabilly feel to it. Tommy is well, Tommy and he could sing the phone book and make it sound soulful. Jimmy Hall's Midnight tune shows his raw power as one of the best out there today. Just wish he would hit the road more often. I love this cd, period."

"The purchase of this CD was a pleasant surprise. Tommy Castro's name along with "DOUBLE TROUBLE'S" name, (Anything tying back to the legendary "STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN!) is what caught my eye. The title, though relating to Tommy Castro, Jimmy Hall, and Lloyd Jones, could just as easily related to the 3 types of music on the CD. There is equal part blues, R&B, and rock. This is an enjoyable CD, where you can tell the fella's had fun recording it, especially on #8 "Raised In The Country."

"if you are not familiar with WET WILLIE, then this disc is not for you. but if you are and can still imagine Jimmy halls' voice sounding as good as 35 years ago then get it and get it NOW. i was not familiar with Tommy or Lloyd, but when you hear this album, you wish 2 things. (1) that there is another cd on the way (2) wish you could see them live. I always loved blue-eyed soul that is why this impresses me so much. "Midnight to Daylight will take your breath away. Please give us somemore. if anything Jimmy, a solo cd will do."
Great all around CD

"This is my first exposure to Castro and Friends. After reading a review in Guitar Player on Tommy I went looking. When I found this CD that included Double Trouble I knew it was going to be good. It lives up to every expectation. A really good CD. I will be buying more of Tommy's stuff for certain."

"This CD rocks. pfttt for psychoanalytical hooeey about "blue-eyed soul." The only reason that Tommy Castro and Jimmy Hall can play this music, aside from their complimentary musical expertise, is that they've lived it. You can't get these sounds playing in your basement. It comes from the blues life lived. My hat goes off to the finest musicians on this CD and to anyone smart enough to include this in their collection."
