"Lone Star indie-billy bandleader Tommy Alverson invites a bunch of his pals to play on this album, with contributions by folks such as Ed Burleson, Johnny Bush, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Gary P. Nunn, Rusty Weir, and the legendary Leon Rausch among the more recognizable names on here; "new" artists like Heather Morgan and Jerry Max Lane may also turn a few ears. This is a down-home set by a bunch of raspy Texans who like playing long, late-night sets at sweaty bars, just for the fun of it. It ain't Nashville, and that's alright by me."
