"I 've recently been to three acoustic gigs where Tom McRae has played songs from all his albums- it was amazing to see how many audience favourites there are. He's an engaging and charismatic live performer who has every audience enthralled.
I don't feel more strongly about any other artist- I have three of his albums and literally cannot listen to them enough.
From "Tom McRae" I love the drama of "Sao Paolo Rain", the cruelly subtle lyrics of "The Boy with the Bubblegun", while "You Cut Her Hair" is a hymn for a ghost.
On "Just Like Blood" the song "Human Remains" speaks of profound familial frustration while "Streetlight" defines the word "yearning" for me. "Karaoke Soul" sounds like something from a Bond film and you can see a cool video for it on You Tube.
These albums brought great beauty and comfort into my life! I recommend them from the bottom of my grateful heart.
