"I bought this album 19 years ago. I guess it was a birthday or something cause I bought a few records that day. So that you realized what I was expecting on this one, I bought it along with Raven "Wiped-Out", Venom "Welcome to hell", Hellhammer "Apocalyptic Raids", Grave Digger "Witch hunter", Impaler "Rise of Mutants".........OH and I forgot Twisted Sister "Under the Blade". Anyway, I was into very black metal and all that stuff so I kind of put aside this one until 4 or 5 years later when I gave it a second chance and when I hear it again, it really stucked in my mind. I have to confess, I picked it up because of the cover I didn't know what I was buying.
Unfortunately, CD was gained too much market and a lot of albums had to wait to see the light again (and still are). I was waiting for this one a long time ago, until I got import.
Now, NIGHT OF THE BLADE is probably on of the most unfortunate CD's that I can imagine. This album has it all. It really rocks, you can hear Def Leppard on their first 2 albums all over the place. This one, is heavier but very melodic. The classic song on this one is "Love Struck" but the rest songs are great. This band never made it big, in fact they changed the vocalist in the middle of the recording of this one. You can see it on the bonus tracks (that were not on the original album), some songs are faster and not very well produced like the first 10 songs.
They realesed other albums but I haven't listen to them so I can't tell. This one says it all. Not one song is bad until the bonus tracks start; it kind of went down with those songs. They are not bad songs, but don't match with the rest so it's like listening to other band.
If you are looking for some unknown hard rock that it's guaranteed. Try this one, you won't regret it and you won't believe your ears!!!!!

"I to bought this album many years ago. I found a track on LimeWire and decided I had to buy it again. Worth every penny. Reminds me somewhat of Iron Maiden."
