"Hideki Togi is a 45-year old musician from Japan. He plays on Hichiriki (a wind-instrument for Japanese court music) that reproduces a very squeaky sound. Reminds me a saxophone sometimes.

Thanks to various accompaniments, the sound of Hichiriki became affordable for my ears. Hideki plays mostly jazz and pop on this album. Some tracks were composed for TV programmes.

A Hichiriki is not that trendy and popular as Koto or Tsugaru Shamisen. I guess Hideki Togi is the only musician in this class, whose CDs are classified as New Age, Traditional and Jazz."
