CD Reviews

Best of argentinian ragga-punkers unreleased stuff
07/08/1999
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Even 1994 Todos Tus Muertos' Dale Aborigen, first release in the US(actually their third in Argentina), blew your mind, you will be amazed by this reggae-punk combo and how they cover their favorite bands and "subversions" their classic anthems. If you're into covers you will enjoy their rendition, half english-half spanish, of The Clash's "Janie Jones" and Bob Marley's "Bad Card". Versions? You got it. Live?, their very offensive but funny "Trece". Instrumental?, their rumba and punk anthem "Hijo Nuestro" and a few others from their Dale Aborigen release. New versions?, together with Argentinian combo Autenticos Decadentes in "Gente que No", a banda and ragga version originally released in the Red Hot's "Silencio=Muerte" from a song written by AD's members and released by TTM in their first record. Even if you're not into latin punk you will enjoy this record's mixed bowl of styles like no one else can do it but Mr. Nadal and TTM."
