"This band has it all.You want you money's worth in great 80's music, than this is your sure bet.I have to say that there is so much talent in this music, that it is almost unbelievable.Compared to such 80's bands as Europe,Treat and Fate, these guys are undoubtly the best of the best. You have to hear this to understand what I'm saying. It's really that good!
1.Wild on the Run(10/10)Great song.Fast, fun and has great guitar work.I've even learned how to play the bass line to this song!
2.Falling(10/10)Excellent,Excellent,Excellent!One of the best songs you will ever hear!Has a great chorus line.
3.Running from the Night(9/10)More power packed fun!
4.Hotline(8/10)Another great song.Has some great bass guitar work, and the vocals sound great.
5.Rebound(8/10)Another solid track.Puts today's music where it belongs,in a bottmless pit!
6.Poor Girl(10/10)Flawless song! This one rocks so hard.Guitars, vocals, bass all sound sizzling!I love the lyrics!
7.She's Nobody's Angel(10/10)So much talent and style that your ears will melt!
8.Breakdown(9/10)The guitar work is excellent.More great vocals as well!
9.Going Down for the Third Time(10/10)Starts out slow and then burts into an all out attack!
10.Wild on the Run(9/10)A bit slowed down,but that's because it's a live version.
11.The Show must Go On(9/10)The show must go on indeed!Another great song.
They don't make'em like this anymore.I say that this album is a must own. It's a crime if you don't own this.Trust me when I say it's that good.If you like real music that's good(no 90's or today's sh*it,I'm talking about real music of the 1980's)than you must buy this!
Every 80's music lover or anyone who has good taste will love this lost metal gem from 1985!"
Vintage melodic rock...re-reissued

"Here's another one of those bands that are loosely associated with the vaunted New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) movement, but probably don't fit the bill musically. They may have had the obligatory Neat Records single release, but Tobruk's music was more similar to American arena rock than the gritty and aggressive NWOBHM mainstays.
Tobruk's 1984 debut Wild on the Run is an absolutely fantastic melodic hard rock album. It's super catchy, has tons of great guitar hooks, and includes plenty of keyboards. This is the kind of good times "party metal" that makes you either love or hate 80's rock. If you still rock out to bands like Y&T, Europe, Treat, early Bon Jovi, Pyromania-era Def Leppard, or Autograph, then this is an album you're going to want to hear.
NOTE: The 2004 Majestic reissue of Wild on the Run features digitally remastered sound, as well as a pair of bonus tracks - the single A-side of Wild on the Run and the b-side The Show Must Go On.
NOTE 2: In another flagrant case of double-dipping, Majestic re-reissued Wild on the Run again in 2006, this time adding a second disc full of live material. It's good news for those of you who haven't already purchased the album, but those of us who bought the 2004 reissue are feeling left out in the cold at this point.
