"The first Tish Hinojosa song I heard was "Taos To Tennessee" from the "Best Of The Sandia-Watermelon Years 1991-1992" CD. The first impression I had after listening to the CD was "Linda Ronstadt blended with the maturity and sweet sorrow of Emmylou Harris, with the Tex-Mex thing as the icing on the cake." I ended up getting the full "Taos To Tennessee" CD after that. One pleasant surprise (and proof of Tish's excellent judgement in choosing outside material in addition to her own songs) is Scott Boyer's "Please Be With Me," which was one of the major highlights of Eric Clapton's post-heroin "comeback" studio album "461 Ocean Boulevard." The new live CD is a pleasant addition to her catalog and a nice intro for newcomers, although I would still recommend the "Best Of Sandia / Watermelon" first. Tish could probably stand on a stage and hold her own with any of the L.A. cowboys and cowgirls from the 70s...the Eagles, Jackson Browne, Ronstadt, Emmylou, etc...and probably teach them a thing or two in the process. This lady has talent, she has heart, and she has substance. She deserves a much wider audience. Why not let it begin with you?"

"Tish Hinojosa writes songs, sings, and makes music the way you always remembered "music" sounding: beautiful! The first song I remember hearing her sing was "West Side Of Town" (with Flaco Jimenez playing accordion). It's an up-beat up-tempo song with a "sad" undertone. On this "live" album, Flaco's son Santiago delivers the accordion expertise.Tish reprises "Taos To Tennessee" from her first album. Also, she performs her "In The Real West" and "Donde Voy"/One of my favorite songs Tish has written and recorded is also on this album, "Something In The Rain" . . . this song can make a grown man's eyes tear-up. It has to make you think about the difficult conditions so many have to deal with in their struggle to just live their lives.Tish Hinojosa is a remarkable talent who delivers her songs with the grace and sincerity that make you "believe" her. She doesn't simply sing a song . . . she "is" the song and it is her gift to us to hear and let her song live in our spirits as well.Thank you Ms Tish Hinojosa for your gift of song and music. You have made the world a better place to live . . . certainly a more beautiful place . . . and your "smile" comes through to us in your voice . . . and helps us to smile with you."

"No one is a better singer than Tish. She has the voice of an angel. And listening to this album is a great experience that you can live over and over again. I never can get enough of her."

"relaxing lush and vibrant...some songs hint at american country and folk, others stroll through Mexican villas and bourganvilla.Tish's mix of hisapnic and Tejas is truly American. Great music for a white sandy beach in the tropics or a camp fire in Arizona...very interesting and a great salute to the wonderful pot of creativity taht music can be."
