"The music of Willie Nelson and the voice of Timi Yuro. An unbeatable combination. Worth many times the low price of this import."
Timi's Voice was a fine instrument

"This cd dates from 1984. It seems to be an odd pairing of singers but really works (unlike Willie & Julio). Timi's voice is a bit different, older & smokier here, but she was a great singer, phrased her lyrics beautifully. I don't know how anyone could not appreciate what this great woman sang. She was simply the best, and this collection of sad country songs is beautiful and heartfelt. Timi - we miss you and love you, and thanks for your wonderful recordings including this one. After really getting to know this cd, I felt the need to put in some additional comments. If this cd were in my car and my car got stolen, I'd buy this cd before I'd buy a new car. Will you remember mine is as fine a recording as any of Timi's early 1960's classics. My own peculiar way is pure gospel, pure gold. Permanently Lonely and Touch Me and Opportunity to cry will break your heart not only because they're sad songs but because this heavenly voice is no longer with us in the flesh. We all know there are white singers with no soul - Michael Bolton immediately comes to mind. Timi Yuro was the real thing - a golden voice, raw emotion, pure soul. Hey Willie - we fans owe you big time for coaxing Timi out of retirement to make this fantastic album. How do we thank you for your love and appreciation of this fine singer?"
Gone but never forgotten

"The last album from the greatest white soul singer who ever lived . Timi never recieved the recognition she deserved, and this is a lasting treasure.
She always worked well with Willie Nelson, being great friends and having known each other for many years.
Her wonderful voice suited gospel, soul, blues and country, and I have never heard such emotion from any singer, whatever colour.
This lady should have been a massive star, and nobody can explain why she wasn't.
Luckily her faithful fans stayed with her for forty years, and we are lucky to have been able to share her through her music.
She was a one off, never to be repeated. Sadly missed for ever

Prime latter day Timi Yuro at her soulful, powerful best

"With the passing of time, Timi's voice changed and became deeper and harder edged, and this different sound is well presented on this CD. But even if she sounds different than she did in the '60s, all of her trademark power and gritty emotion is very much intact. A rare, warm, thoughtfully created listening experience, and a must for Timi fans."
