Compelling organ literature for the whole liturgical year

"With any pipeorgan recording, it is not merely the instrument but also the space which sings. You can't miss the rolling 32' rumble at the final chord of the Dupre toccata for the Feast of the Presentation. The full resources of this sizeable Moller and the huge building which houses it are taken full advantage of in this collection of 20th century compositions based on familiar hymn and Gregorian chant tunes. The avant-garde "Fanfares to the Tongues of Fire" piece based on the Veni Creator chant tune demands a fiery en chamade stop. One cannot miss the Pontifical Trumpet as it quickly dispatches the requirement for a "big enchilada" trumpet."
