"When I put this disc in, I felt like I was sitting on a stool in an old, smoky bar and seeing the band live. The energy of this great Americana/classic-rockish album hits you like a punch in the face from the drunk guy sitting next to you, and makes you want to get up and break a pool cue over his head. This album had my blood pumping the whole way through - definitely worth buying."

"Concrete Dog balances the comfort of familiarity with the excitement of pure electric rock and roll, the way plugging in and hitting an open E chord never loses its charm. This album is solid from start to finish. Tim Lee hasn't missed a beat since No Discretion (or since the Windbreakers for that matter)."
Entrancing Straight Up Rock.

"It used to be that bands didn't dilly dally around. They just got on with the music. They knew who they were because they had paid the price in the clubs doing live music until they fell over. It's great to know there are still a few bands like that out there. Tim Lee is one of them. Concrete Dog is a rockin record, to be sure. However, with Lee's biting commentary and observations on the human condition, along with letting his wife of 25 years, Susan co-write many of the songs - it becomes more than a nice rock record. It's memorable. With Don Coffey, Jr of Superdrag fame behind the drums and production - there's that nice pop music sensibility of what makes a record great. However, this really isn't a pop record - just straight up rock. It's like Lynyrd Skynyrd learned to be faithful to their women and quit the drinking and drugging. Granted, the Windbreakers were pretty amazing. However, Tim's solo stuff can stand the test of time."
