An EXCELLENT album from start to finish!

"Music fans who think Tiffany is "stuck" in her '80s sound will be pleasantly surprised when they hear this thoroughly modern and non-contrived album. From the moment "Open My Eyes" erupts into its fantastic, explosive chorus to the spectacular guitar rifts that close the gorgeous "Flown," this CD is solid, expressive rock music through and through. Honestly, I was a kid in the '80s and loved Tiffany's pop stuff, but with age, I outgrew her records...and when I saw this CD at Tower Records, I bought it thinking it would be amusing and nothing more. Well, I didn't know it then, but I had added a CD to my collection that has parked itself into my Top 10 albums of all time list, along with Bruce Springsteen and Kate Bush, just for reference's sake.I urge you to pick this CD up. It is spectacular! And it got very little airplay (that's the music business, folks!), so grab this album before it disappears! You'll be glad you did.Amazon.com's track listing is incorrect. An excellent self-expressive, mature effort

"The last Tiffany album I bought was Hold an Old Friends Hand which I found to be as good as suger-coated pop can be. With the Colour of Silence Tiffany has improved on that album with self-expression, mature lyrics, and plain old-fashioned good music. The sad part is such an excellent album won't be heard by a majority of the people because of non-existent marketing and distribution. I only knew about this album because of VH1's Behind the Music. Isn't Tiffany the only artist on Eureka Records with several number ones to her credit? Maybe she deserves more of the machine working in her favor."
