"New sound! Quite original. Great energy and fusion of different rhythms, instruments and sounds. A violin with the Salsa? In this context it seems to work. The violin braces and gives an interesting twist, a surprising flair. My ear is not acclaimatized to this new sound, but it gets me thinking. Gets me moving to the rhythms. Makes me dance! I contemplate the lyrics. Honest, soulful, direct, sometimes delightful or sometimes stinging. In Blue Eyes: "I'm in a trance, charmed by your romance, my heart takes flight!... You brought magic into my life and a smile on my face that I just can't erase...let me drown in those blue eyes. Or, "counting days I'll be in your gaze". Charming. In Outta Here: "Hold back the rage, you were a mistake".... "you should know that I could sting like a bee".... The songs are wonderfully melodic-- upbeat with gypsy romance, biting passion, and Latin charm. In Thousand Words : "Why a moment of heaven can be a lifetime in hell". In Forgive Me, "Your cold heart was hard to touch...my heart won, my soul lost.....Oh well, tomorrow's another day". In some parts, the music and the melodies are a bit full and seem to compete with each other. But all-in-all, in can't be denied that the experience here is one of emotional dare, fullness in rhythm and sound, the ups and downs of passion and survival of life in the Bittersweet."
