Synopsis

Album Description

This rising Norwegian black metal duo follow up their highly regarded 2006 debut with their second album for Candlelight titled Helvete/Det Iskalde Morket. Returning to Black Dimension Studio (owned/operated by Stein Sund of Thundra) the record continues the pair's dark musical journey and is the newest album from the label's special cult series. Formed in 2004, Throne of Katarsis have been likened to Aura Noir, Burzum and labelmates 1349, among others. Blabbermouth called their debut, An Eternal Dark Horizon, "a robust black metal album from a duo that does not like to play it safe." Popular metal site Metal Observer adds, "a well thought out record that never releases its death vice hold on its audience."
