"The Three Sounds were Gene Harris, piano......Andrew Simpkins, bass......and Bill Dowdy, drums. I've always ranked Gene Harris as one of the top jazz piano players of his time. And his time had some great ones. I had him a hair under Oscar Peterson and Oscar Peterson was alone at the top. He was at his prime in 50's and early 60's and unless you were an avid jazz fan you could have missed him. This album features him at his best. There is one cut on this album called "I'm Beginning To See The Light." It's short, full of life and shows off his talents to the max. If you like piano, and you would like to broaden your area of gratification, then buy this album, put on your ear-phones, and kick back.......You won't be sorry.....TAKE A CHANCE!"
