"I first heard a bit of Greece 2000 while listening to a BBC Radio 1 web rebroadcast of a Radio 1 DJ mixing at a London club. I was stunned, and began an intense, month long search to discover the title and artist. I browsed and posted everywhere on the 'Net, and finally a kind soul came through. I couldn't find nor order it locally: the closest source was on the East coast and the shop charged a premium price (even for an import) but it was well worth it. That was a couple of years ago and while, on rare occasions, I've come across tracks that come close (Komakino: Beyond Your Dreams, Sash: Encore Un Fois, Future Breeze Mix, Grace: Not Over Yet) I've found nothing that surpasses Greece 2000. A few notes of praise in reference to the eight minute 'Original Mix': the intricate layering of various sounds and beats is the product of sheer genius: the myriad of rythms and textures somehow coalesce into a hypnotic, transcendant work of art. The use of alternating periods of deep layering with simpler, quieter portions is masterful. Finally, besides the sheer enjoyment of listening to the music, I find it fascinating from a technical, creative standpoint: how can someone weave so many seperate and intricate elements together into one brilliantly cohesive whole? Of course, it's not Beethoven's Ninth, but I'm still amazed that somone could put it all together so expertly and make it work so well.I realize that much of this smacks of hyperbole but, rest assured, I'm not exaggerating: read the other reviews and judge for yourself. If you like Trance, Dance, or just have an eclectic interest in hearing the best that any genre has to offer, buy this CD."

"This has to be one of the tunes of the year. Everywhere I play this tune people are up on the dance floor screaming for more, with those banging hard beats warming you up for the best part when it drops into a trance break that will get anyone to there feet and start rocking.Possible the best tune of the year.
