"This the 8th full length offering from Three Day Stubble finds them in a new direction, ever refining their "skills" at unusual approach to music and drama. The lineup is familiar, Donald - vocals and trumpet, Mr. Hungry and Brently - guitars and effects, Lance - Bass, banjo, Shibbie Dao - beats, although missing Dave Spumoni (Cameron) who graced the last three cds with his beats and percussion silliness. Added to the mix (literally) is their soundman, Kurtsy, who gives this recording a most caring and daring treatment that earned him a position as the shining sun on the cover art. The CD also features many more instuments than mentioned in this review. This is my favorite release since the early 80's cassette tape, Friendly Park Survivors. I have every Stubble release and this one has a special place in my mind and heart. It's complete resignation from any hint of commercial success makes it a more challenging listen and possibly creates even more wide open spaces for Donald to wander in. Note to potential listeners: headphones essential for maximum enjoyment."
