"Every song here is the best. Every song is a masterpiece of songwriting. It is definitely an indie/emo genre song album. This was so good that Amped 3 for the Xbox 360 had to take a music lisene to incorporate their fabulous music into the game. Actually, it was Amped 3 that I heard of This Providence from. Believe me, if you are a fan of emo and indie music, get this. It's going to be a rare CD. When it is, you'll be permanently missing out on the best albums of the year. Every song here is good. But the only reason you should be getting this is for "Catching my Breath." Runners up to that song are: "To Kill This", "Best Wishes", and "Our Flag is White". Another thing that makes me like this band is that they are Christians. I'm a Christian too. But This Providence doesn't make it so that they are showing it off to a strong point. It's all good though. That's fine. The main reason that this is good is because it is 100% pure, refined EMO/Indie. Some people would cry their eyes out because its theme, loss of love and life, emanates its presence so emphasizingly. Just get this album. This quartet is extremely talented. They play their songs in standard guitar tuning, so that shows real talent, the frontman being able to sing and access different complex finger chords during the song. The bassist, like the frontman, has real talent because he can solo on the bass because he has a great voice. Another thing these guys incorporate is that they have two voiceovers. They sing over each other, next to each other, etc. This results in a great sounding song. You might think that they utilized a bad thing, but no. For an emo band and indie as well, This is one of the best things that can compliment an already great album and music system. For $12.oo, this is a snatch. THis should have been the price of an Immortal Souls special CD pack (Once Upon A Time in The North) which costs about $20.00. So this album is truly recomended. Get it now."

""Our Worlds Divorce" is, in my opinion, the best album that has come out in a while. I bought it at their CD release show over half a year ago and I still can't put it down. They are by no means some generic emo rip-off band that tries to cover Thursday (as another reviewer thought). I have absolutely no idea how anyone could get the idea that they sound like a Thursday rip-off. That is like saying Kenny G is a Nirvana rip-off. They play completely different styles of music. This providence is full of catchy pop with a ton of Jazz chords and the like. It's kind of like a jazzy pop-punk with more pop (but not the generic pop we're used to) than punk. There really isn't any punk. Go to www.purevolume.com/thisprovidence to hear them, but I promise you this, you won't realize how good this album or this band is until you hear the whole album. The whole album is awesome. It isn't one of those albums where they put their best songs on purevolume and thats all they have. They have an album full of awesome songs that are all very original and the best ones aren't even the ones on purevolume. The fact that I enjoy this album so much has nothing to do with the fact that they are from Seattle (as am I). The music speaks for itself and it is awesome. Buy it."

"A Seattle band that is on the up - these guys are golden! Awesome! Check them out when they're next in town. Like others have said, their music is refreshing; it makes an impression and is mega out there. It really cuts a groove, yeohh!"

"Support these guys. i go to church with dan and paul (the guitar and vocals guy from australia, and the drummer respectivly) and they are some of the nicest coolest guys you'll ever meet. I've been down since the T-1 and Slow Down Turbo days and they just keep getting better. Thier EP is also a totaly tubular record. My only gripe is that so many ladies love paul and that dan is such a friggen sexy man. Dont bring a date to one of thier shows because you'l leave alone. I'm not sure about gavin or phil (mainly just because i dont know them personaly) but dan and paul are both amazing musicians. If you ever get the chance to you should see them lead worship, there is just something about these guys that works. Weather its playing to crouds of guys in girl pants and other such emo attire or playing thier cute little hearts out for God, these guys are good. Keep up the good work guys, and ill see ya on sunday."
