"I have never owned a soundtrack in my life that is this infectious since most of the soundtracks I ever bought we're purchased when I was in elementary school. Thirteen features a great diverse collection of California beat driven anthems. You know right away that each song fits perfectly for the mood of the movie (which was EXCELLENT). "Mas" is the best example of a party song on the album, thought don't expect to understand unless you speak spanish; still, it is the most infectious song on the album. "The equaliser" is a very unique electic song that fits perfectly with the movie. The two main theme songs (last 2 songs on the album) are perfectly arranged guitar riffs that make you think of a heavy and fast paced movie, which is what Thirteen is. The best song on this album is Liz Phair "Explain it to Me"...played during the end credits of the movie...the lyrcis and the substance of the song stand out through the rest of them and it fits perfectly with the film's message.
Overall this soundtrack is an infectious collection of music which will make you think about the film and all its wonders."
