"Here Come the ABCs [CD/DVD Combo]
Since its debut, my kids absolutely LOVE listening to this entire CD over and over again. Why? TMBG's children's songs are just as infectious as the adult songs they wrote in the late 80s/early 90s (remember "Istanbul-Not Constantinople"?). The song melodies and chord selections are not the only eclectic traits that make TMBG tunes so unusually appealing to our children (and to the inner child in each adult!); its the ordinary yet peculiar lyrics that make TMBG songs notable and easily assimilated into our minds for later retrieval. So, don't be surprised if you find your kids AND YOURSELF start humming "I C U" in the car on the way to school ... What tickled me even more about this CD is that my youngest learned her ABCs before she turned one, just from reciting the songs over and over and over and over and over again ... And the bundled DVD made the learning experience more stimulating and permanent, amplifying the usual TMBG weird factor with what appeared to be animated nonsense to us, but was really some intelligible, educational cartoons for my kids. I never would have guessed that band I listened to as a young adult would ever captivate my own kids! The verdict? - 5 stars - Buy it when you see it on the shelf, especially if bundled with DVD."
Quirky and funny, in classic TMBG style

"I bought this CD for my 2-year-old, and when it arrived in the mail my fiance, a big TMBG fan, put it on for him. Both of them loved it; Dad and baby both love "D is for Drums" and "E eats everything." I'm a finicky person when it comes to music, and I was a little wary of the idea of TMBG doing children's music. I was pleasantly surprised to find that TMBG really delivered on this album for everyone, child and adult alike. I enjoyed "Can You Find It?" and "The Alphabet Lost and Found," myself, for their musical cleverness and sense of humor. The bonus tracks are a lot of fun, too; my fiance likes to put on "Clap your hands" when he needs a boost.
If you have a sense of humor, an intelligent kid between 18 months and four years old, and an appreciation for satirical, intentionally goofy music, you'll love this CD. If you're more interested in genuinely educating your child, maybe this isn't the best thing for them, but they'll still most likely enjoy bopping around to it with you."
Go, go, go for G

"My boys ages 2 & 3 have a lot of fun with this CD. The songs are short and snappy and easy to sing to. Everyone who hears it goes out and buys it."
No Barney music in our house!

"My husband and I were TMBG fans in college, so I can't even say how excited we were to be able to buy a "kids" CD/video that we could enjoy just as much as our children! The video is especially good, with the diversity of graphics/live action and all the catchy songs. My kids are 3 & 1, and you're selling your kids short if you don't think they can learn their ABC's in the unique way they're presented by TMBG. I know we feel soooo fortunate to be able to buy all the GREAT music out there being marketed towards kids. Some other favorites in our house are Dan Zanes, Ella Jenkins, and Justin Roberts. And don't over-look all the great compilations out there, we've almost worn out our series from the "Land of Nod" which have some great oldies like Woodie Guthrie....
They're all on my iPod!!"
Very Good for the whole family

"We got this originally as just the DVD as a gift. We've like it so much we're getting the CD as well. It's a great set of songs. We especially like Go for G, Who put the alphabet in Alphabetical Order, and E eats Everything"
