Although Im a bit late to the party on this one, I love the Stripes. Their self-titled debut is possibly the grittiest and most abrasive garage rock Ive ever heard that still sounds like good music. This disc tops all under that umbrella, and even though the original pressing only sold about 100,000 copies, its a solid 110% in my scorebook. All of their music is like a story, a pathway. Listening to the albums in order is like watching Star Wars starting with Episode 1 and ending with Episode 6 (I left out 7-9 for a good reason, including that the White Stripes only had 6 studio albums.) Anyways, all comparisons and jokes aside, do you like peppermints? Youll love this one.
