"Most of these songs were recorded during the 80's so you've probably already heard them before. If not, you may be surprised at what Ministry and the Cure used to sound like. This is a pretty good introduction to some of the better bands of the goth/industrial genre, but all you kids out there wearing Joy Division T-shirts already knew that. Right? Anyway, many of these bands such as NIN and Echo and the Bunnymen are still making quality tunes so check them out. Also take the time to introduce yourself to the vastly underrated Sister's of Mercy who's "Lucretia My Reflection" is just taken to a whole new level of genius by the similarly underrated Alkaline Trio. Enough with the homage. Buy this and check out the Suicide Girls."
Rap and goth don't go together!

"I liked most of this cd, but I don't know what was up with sticking a rap song at the end of a goth/industrial comp? I really like Alkaline Trio's cover of Lucretia My Reflection."

"Great cd comp. True gothic music not what todays youth call goth just because the lead singer wears black."

"Sure, several of the tracks on this compilation are "classics" and the majority of the featured bands are nothing short of legendary in their genre, but it's the thought that counts.
If anything, to a non-Goth/Industrial music fan, this certainly could be a large stepping stone towards discovering a "new" style to enjoy. In other words, this collection of must-haves has more than enough punch to get the conservative listener bouncing...because obviously, if you're not a fan of the style, you probably won't have these songs anywhere in your collection.
This makes the compilation work. Just as the Suicide Girls and their creepy, yet wildly attractive, appearance tiptoes into pop culture, their accompanying mix CD opens a door for new listeners to take a trip back to the 80's and hear what all the fuss was about.
