Album DescriptionSharp, intelligent, finely-crafted songs fused with an electric/acoustic alterna-rock sound. The Scott Wolfson Band has been called "a brave new voice in the alterna-folk movement." They've been heading up New York City's newest alternative-music revolution with their unique combination of great melodies and socially-themed songs. The band features Scott's distinctive style of songwriting, and showcases some of the most talented musicians in New York's - blending the singer/songwriter with elements as far ranging as punk, jazz, and world music. Scott received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from New York University in 1992, where he studied music history, performance, and composition. "It's hard to keep re-inventing yourself," he says. "You want to keep growing as an artist without alienating your existing fans. In many ways I'm still the same, but the new album shows how I've grown as a songwriter and how Tristan [Kromer] and I have grown as producers." Hailed by critics, clubs and fans, The Scott Wolfson Band pushes the edge of modern folk rock music with sharp, intelligent, finely-crafted songs fused with an electric/acoustic alterna-rock sound.
