Product DescriptionImagine an empty room with no windows and no doors. If it s dark, it s completely dark. But say you flipped on a light. Then it becomes completely light. There are no shadows, and nothing to stop that light from shining... The idea of The Radiance Effect is to be something you can t just turn off. -Corey, The Radiance Effect Hailing from Springfield, MO, The Radiance Effect is comprised of five guys on a mission to change the world, one perspective at a time. Corey, Craig, Hoss, Kurtis and Ben have spent the last two years touring, recording, and spreading the movement that is The Radiance Effect. The debut album, Wake The Forgotten, is a 15-song LP that defines the band collectively and individually. With each member influenced by different styles of musical backgrounds and a variety of genres, they confess it was difficult finding the sound they wanted the world to know them by. Throughout the entire creative process, they sought to give the album a continuous feel while allowing for and capturing the variety of styles each member possesses. Lyrically, the album is very personable with a skillful pairing of charismatic melodies and magnetic wordplay through which audiences can easily relate. There is undoubtedly a chemistry of originality that The Radiance Effect has ignited and captured for the masses through this groundbreaking debut. Beginning with Craig and Kurtis, who attended church together, they quickly added lead singer, Corey, and drummer, Ben, to the duo. The four-piece soon recognized a need for another guitarist and after holding auditions, completed their search by gaining the band s youngest member, Hoss. With each of the guys sharing passions of music and God, it wasn t hard for the band s mission to be made known. Understanding their purpose is what feeds The Radiance Effect s hunger to be heard. In the entertainment industry, where artists take pride in wealth, fame and scandal, this band is indicative of that rare exception to the norm- a band that is for the people, not for themselves. Believing the effects of the media have left a damaging impression on future generations is what fuels the band s desire to open up the eyes of those who believe they ve already received what life has in store for them. The Radiance Effect seeks to offer people a new perspective of looking at life in their effort to influence a change in our culture. They are using music to spread a message of hope to a society they believe is not too far gone to change collectively for the better. Taking their message on the road has been the primary mission of The Radiance Effect. Preferring to play 340 shows a year and just be home for the holidays has kept the band steadily on the road for great lengths. With this year s summer tour already planned and performances on the Rock the Light Tour in August 2008, the band is excited about building relationships with their fans, and getting the chance to interject in peoples lives. These guys understand how much it matters to be genuine. The Radiance Effect is about just that, spreading light in the lives they touch, and using music to make a positive impact on the planet. As Corey explains, There s been drastic change in all of our lives and we want to take it and be real about it. We don t want to shove it down someone s throat. We don t label ourselves and say look our spiritual we are, look how godly we are. It s literally just about love and the only true love that exists is the love we got from God. He s the total offer of love. It comes down to people loving people, and loving our generation, even if it doesn t turn out the best. I m sure there are people who won t understand what we re doing, but we know this is not an easily paved road that people are going to understand all the time.
