CD Reviews

Good Follow up Album

""The Pink Spiders" have proven that they are not a "one hit" band. They have proven to us, their fans, that they can jam at all hours of the night, and for as long as you want them to!

As a follow up to their album "Teenage Graffiti", "Sweat it Out" has glam, kick, pizazz, and some great rock and roll riffs. It's easy to listen to, and easy to get in your head.

The only shortfall on this album is that I didn't find as many AWESOME songs as I found on their previous album. All of the songs on this cd are fantastic, but there is but one song that I truly truly love down to the core. The others are just "catchy".

Otherwise, great job, and I look forward to hearing many more follow ups!

The Pink Spiders are a great band, and I will definitely be passing my thoughts of them around to my networks."
Just try to stop your toes tapping.

"Unlike so many albums that start strong and then taper off with a bunch of ill-conceived songs that seem like filler, this offering from Pink Spiders starts strong, then only gets better. The true toe-tapping begins with "Stranglehold" (track 7) and continues through "Here Comes Trouble" (track 12). This six-song stretch is utterly brilliant power pop or punk pop or whatever you want to call it. Each song is a tiny gem with an unforgettable hook that, in all honesty, reminds me of the pop perfectionism of early Beatles albums. When you consider how few bands can nail more than one or two tracks per album, the fact that the Pink Spiders knock six straight songs out of the park is pretty remarkable. Highly recommended to anyone who enjoys fun, driving pop rock music."
