An actual album review

"Other reviews on this album so far are virtually worthless because they only address the one song "88 lines about 44 women". Of the three albums The Nails released this one is the least. Neither the lyrics nor the music itself is as good as their second album "Dangerous Dreams" released in 1986. "Dangerous Dreams" is the best of the three albums. Their first album is "Mood Swing" released in 1984 and contains the original version of "88 lines about 44 women". "Mood Swing" is a solid album that rocks from to start to finish. If either of these is ever released on CD, I highly recommend them.
However "Corpus Christi" is worth having for a few songs-- "Let's Commit A Sin", "The Flesh",and "Holy Sea". It is worth having merly to listen to Marc Campell's voice. His voice is very unique among singers. ( Ironic the one song that made The Nails famous is the one song that does not emphasis the uniqueness of Marc's voice ) Although the lyrics are constrained here by religious themes (the first two albums have very little religious overtone) they are still imaginative and far above ninety nine percent of alternative rock music today."

"Mood Swing
THE NAIL'S MOOD SWING with the original RCA version of 88 LINES ABOUT 44 WOMEN is now available on cd. Forget about Corpus Christi. It is an unauthorized release and has been disavowed by THE NAILS. Buy MOOD SWING instead.
Marc Campbell, THE NAILS."

"The original 1981 version of 88 Lines about 44 Women has been remastered and can be downloaded, purchased on the just-released Hotel for Women CD. It is superior to the non-remastered original version available on Corpus Christi. Give it a try! --- David from The Nails."
