The Rest is Yet To Come is the new CD by The Double Decker String Band. Double Decker has been together since 1977 and has made numerous recordings. Unfortunately most of those recordings are out of print, but this one is not. The band is Bill Schmidt, Craig Johnson, Bruce Hutton and John Beam. They are a masterful group that draws material from some of the oldest available source recordings and makes fresh, memorable music. Songs on this album come from such venerable bands as the Georgia Yellow Hammers, Carter Brothers and Son, and the Alabama Sheiks. This is a must for all those who love traditional music!
