Synopsis

Product Description
Limited 2009 two disc (CD + NTSC/Region 0 DVD) 30th Anniversary edition of one of Rock's most celebrated albums including a bonus DVD that contains the Don Letts-produced documentary The Last Testament as well as videos and live footage. The discs come in vinyl replica packaging, complete with liner bags/inner sleeves and a 20 page book. London Calling was The Clash's third album, released at the end of 1979 and earned them the best reviews (and sales) of their career. Three decades on, the album remains a fresh, invigorating slice of Rock 'n' Roll from 'the only band that matters'. Sony.

CD Reviews

Sony / Epic Strikes (out) Again
N. Ciasullo | Philadelphia, Pa | 03/17/2010
(2 out of 5 stars)

"Once again, we are left with the same crappy remaster as the 25th anniversary edition. Something so easy to fix is apparently beyond the morons at Sony. A minor detail to be sure but, the bell at the beginning of Koka Kola is screwed up. Instead of the "ding" of the elevator bell, we get "dowing", the sound of some idiot that bumped the tape during transfer. Buy the old, un-remastered version and boost the volume up yourself.

I would give it only one star, but the music is just too good. Sony rots, don't buy it."
