"This album really strikes me as a major R&B achievement. Andrew Levy is a minimalist master on the bass, constructing grooves so spacious you can sit in them. N'Dea's vocals are crisp, clear and true. The title track shines through with a nice horn arrangement and a sweet lilt. The production itself is top notch...dry yet exciting and crisp. I whip this album out every few months or so and listen to it on a long drive. It's a very special effort from an amazingly tight band."
Very Nice

"This comment is to Thad, below. If you liked Dream on Dreamer but not the whole album, check out their debut album and I don't think you'll be disappointed. It's catchier than the more relaxing Brother Sister ."
Acid jazz at its best

"This CD is why the Brand New Heavies are my favorite group. Their funky style and N'Dea Davenport's soulful voice are a perfect combination. And the songs will make you want to get up and shake your groove thang!"
Now that's what I call quite groovey!

"Great sound, great vibe- I bought this cd when it first came out in '94 and thought that this is a great '90's version of acid funk jazz. N'Dea Davenport has a great voice and jazz-funk grooves make this group's sound pretty timeless. It's just a definte must have for all those on the acid jaz, trip hop, English soul sound groove."
What a ride!!!!!

"Every song on here is a masterful blend of funk and contemporary jazz. You can't help but get up shake your booty a little. It is phenomenol that a modern band can still successfully produce old-school sounds with such grooving, confident fortitude. These songs are complex and seductive, but done like second nature for this band. The whole cd is simply stunning."
