Always different, still the same

"After almost two years, there comes the last album from Tetes Raides. And as usual, this is a surprising, deep, wonderful one. Of course, you will still find the rough voice of Christian (the singer and writer) and the quality of his texts, you will still find simple, poetic songs like those you find in "le bout du toit" ("Je chante" and "Les choses" are like this, brilliant in simplicity), and you will also find these short "intermezzi" evolving on the same melody throughout the album (the series of "bibliotheque") that you already had on "Le bout du Toit". But there is definitely something else. First because of the famous french artists who are invited (Noir Desir on "Iditente", Yann Tiersen on "Cabaret des Nues"...). Then because of the even wider field (if it was possible) of styles, from hard to soft, from purely melodic to almost purely rythmic, Tetes Raides again show how polyvalent they are. Add to this a little bit of "socio / political" involvment ("iditente", "Patalo"), some of these friendly immaginary people (Sun an Moon in "cabaret des nues" could be cousins with the famous Gino), and you get the most suprising and colourful album that Tetes Raides ever released."
