"Yes, I am a bit biased having been a Tesla fan forever. However, that being said...this CD Rocks! The sound quality is amazing, the way the band chose to record this CD makes all of the difference, you actually can hear the pure sound of the band. I realize that this is a cover's CD and many people have a problem with cover's, but in the land of cover's this one is the standout of them all. This is straight up Rock and Roll at it's purest and most pristine. The guitar duo of Frank Hannon and new Tesla guitarist Dave Rude is incredible, they play very well off of each other and it shows. Vocalist Jeff Keith sounds amazing, the restraint in some of these songs makes all of the difference. I was so impressed! When recording this CD Jeff nailed "Thank You" in one take, now that is impressive! Brian Wheat's bassline is bar none and the drums of Troy Lucketta are finally getting a chance to shine. Each of these men's instruments are heard crisp and clear. The energy of this CD is something that HAS to be heard! Any lover of Rock and Roll NEEDS to have this CD in their collection...because...this is what true Rock and Roll is all about!"

"WOW!! This CD is AMAZING!! REAL ROCK 'N' ROLL is BACK BAYBEEE!! The guitar solos are BLISTERING; the drums are NUTS; the basslines are POWERFUL; the vocals are INCREDIBLE!! The overall sound of this CD is very crisp and strong and the songs have been redone with such power and conviction.....every cover song is at LEAST as good if not way BETTER than the originals. This CD will undoubtedly go down in rock history as THE best covers CD EVER RECORDED!! You HAVE TO HAVE IT!!"

"If you like Tesla you will love this CD."Into the Now" was a great piece of work, now with this covers cd its'Tesla 24/7. They rock on every song. Besides being two of the nicest guys in the world (JK and Frank Hannon) they prove just how talented and versatile they are buy covering these classic songs. They just don't miss a beat or note. Jeff always surprises me(like he did with Bar 7).He does an amazing job of sounding like every classic vocalist(with the Tesla touch!) Troy and Brian bring it all together and Dave is a good fit. Sound quality is excellent and "ZUT" did a great a great job producing.(Glad to have you back!). Excellent packaging and the bonus disc is good from Best Buy. New bands today just could not have pulled this off. Read the booklet inside. Great comments from Frank on the recording process. This blows Poison's covers away. See you guys on tour."

"Being a fan of Tesla since the 80's,a cover album was somewhat of a surprise due to the success of Into The Now, from 2003.They couldn't have picked better songs to cover,at least on Reel 1.It is unfortunate that you have to pick up Reel 2 at the show. But that is another subject. As for this particular disc. There are many standout covers.Tesla definitely pulled it off amazingly!!! My particular faves are Walk Away,Thank You(a fine cover),I've Got A Feeling,Ball Of Confusion,Beel Bottom Blues,Honky Tonk Woman and Dear Dr. Fantasy. I know, pretty much the whole album has standouts. The album is real top notch. If you love classic rock, this one is for you.Jeff Keith has the perfect voice to pull off great renditions.Of course, the originals will never be topped.Don't know if they will top Five Man Acoustical Jam,which in my opinion had one of the best covers of all time,Signs. But this one ain't shabby. If you like Tesla and the bands they covered, you should buy it, You won't be saying anything negative.
In my opinion,Thank You,Walk Away and Dear Mr Fantasy are the coolest. They have a little twist, but are true to the artists that performed them and the actual song."

"Never really got into the band in their heyday but the track list of this cd was too good to pass up and lo and behold - a tremendous cd. If you are not a fan of Tesla but are 45-55 years old - run out and get this now !! Absolutely amazing and incredibly surprising."
