An Excellent Jazz/Fusion LP, Well Worthy Of Your Time.

"A holy grail for many years, this fine example of Japanese fusion is finally available to all (even though it's through the notoriously ham-fisted cheapskates at Soul Brother). Forget the 'club' track ('Umma Be Me') - it's the only blight on this otherwise immaculate musical landscape. The down-tempo opener 'Unicorn Lady' is funky, moody and intense. 'Some Other Blues' finds Steve Grossman in playful (but "not playing"!) mood and 'New Moon' & 'Understanding' are just class. If you thought the fusion idiom was trite and unsophisticated, this is one of many obscure LPs which will hopefully change your mind. Heartily recommended."
