"Alright, for those of you out there not familiar with Scott Vogel, you probably wont be as giddy as I was to get my mitts on this. Scott is without a doubt one of the few vocalists in the hardcore scene that I think truly back everything they say, and has been a big influence on me in terms of vocal and lyrical styles. Vogel also served as frontman for Slugfest, Despair and the godly Buried Alive, 3 of the best examples of pure ... off hardcore from the 90's. With such an amazing track record with 3 very good and influential bands, I was quite eager to hear how Terror would turn out.
Upon hearing this CD, I can honestly say I believe Terror is the perfect culmination of everything Vogel has done to date. The music is extremely heavy and moshy, perfect for the rough times in life where you just want to destroy everything in your path. They also dont pretend to be radio hits--the band just finds a nice riff and the occasional groove, and starts wailing and thrashing without mercy. What makes this album so golden is how the songs unleashed are similar in style, but dont sound like carbon clones of each other as times goes by. This keeps the album fresh every time you pop it in.
In usual Vogel style however, the lyrics are extremely uplifting, setting a mindset of perseverance and refusal to be beaten into submission. Nothing negative here (albeit profane, so if that isnt your ideal thing, you might not be as enthused), and it serves perfectly as words of wisdom in tough times.
My only gripe here would be how quick it all goes by--9 tracks in 17 minutes. It leaves you wanting more. However, I cant detract anything from my rating because the band works so well together, moving like a machine, and on top of that, you can tell they enjoy every minute of what theyre accomplishing.
All in all, this is going to be a worthy purchase for any fan of heavy as hell hardcore. I reccomend grabbing it ASAP, and if you get the chance to see them live, dont miss it--they put on an awesome show."

"This album is just pure straightforward HARDCORE. When I listen to this kid I feel like punching people in the face and kicking them when they are down. Yeah, it's that good. Songs like "Better off without you", "Nothing to Me", "Another Face", and "What have we done" or some of the best songs written by any band ever. Hatebreed were once the kings of tough guy hardcore, but were overthrown by Throwdown. And for a while Throwdown were the kings of tough guy hardcore, but let me tell you this. Terror are definitely the new kings of tough guy hardcore."
