It was re-released in December of 1988 as a CD. I have listened to this album every Christmas since 1958. Christmas time wouldn't be the same for me or my family without it.
The fact that Ernie Ford's "Hymns" album, released in October of 1956, stayed on the Billboard pop charts for an unprecidented 277 weeks attests to the quality and timeless nature of his recordings. The Star Carol and Hymns albums should be available in their original arrangements to all generations." |
