"Released in 1970 the Temptations and Norman Whitfield were in full pyschedelic mode through out this whole album. This album is why I became a huge Norman Whitfield fan. Some of the members of the group were getting uncomfortable singing all the psychedelic songs...but personally I prefer this version of the Tempts over all others(with the David Ruffin led Tempts in a very close second). See with me I love the Whitfield produced Tempts because you didn't have to skip any songs unlike the 60's Gordy assembly line albums they and other Motown artist were putting out. This album flows from song to song without ever missing a beat. Bassist James Jamerson and the Funk Brothers were hitting it on all cylinders with the great funk that was being laid down in the studio. My favorite songs are the title track and the haunting "Take A Stroll Through Your Mind", with the latter having great vocal interplay between the group. Even though I wasn't born when this album came out " know it had to be the shiizniit on the streets. Overall a must have album but again a very hard to find cd."
