CD ReviewsTruly Fantastic 09/26/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "Sliced and diced tapes that have been reassembled such that they do create cohesive, fluid songs. Really a masterpiece and a must-have for fans of Neu and Can. I say that because they play with the same principals, though the tunes are obviously influenced by a bit of everything that has happened since those bands. This is a hell of a lot better and more fun that recent Stereolab offerings. Much of this takes place backwards, which is always enjoyable - particularly when the vocals are cut and pasted backwards. This isn't anything new, but those of you who know what you like and know what you're looking for will find this to be just the right balm to assuage that itch. There are ethereal elements, but this actually rocks for the most part - it doesn't gaze at the shoes for too long at a stretch! This and Rocket Charms are both highly recommended - keep away from the abysmal second record!"
