"I just happened across the Teen Idols recently when browsing through the punk section of a local music store. Their name & the images on their cd covers captured my interest, so decided to sample them here on amazon....next day I went out & bought a couple of their cd's. WOW all I can say is that I'm just blown away. This is one of the best cd's I've heard, punk or otherwise. They have some 80's style punk/new wave hooks in a lot of their songs, yet the songs are so fast that they have that 90's punk feel also. Now I'm looking forward to finding out all I can about this band, and I can't wait until they do another cd! (Teen Idols, if you're listening, please come play in my town!)"
Whoa, what happened?

"I've been a Teen Idols fan since their s/t debut on Honest Don's (Fat Mike from NOFX's "other" label) and have enjoyed their greaser, Social D. meets The Ramones style pop-punk, but I was surprised at the polish on this release. To put it mildly, they have almost completely sanded away all of the rough edges, leaving the remains of what sounds like a punk doo-wop group. Remember the fast, abrasive songs they used to do? Well, the key word there was "remember," as they are completely absent from this release. And the interesting thing is, it really doesn't matter. The Teen Idols strengths have always been their knack for writing catchy little tunes, regardless of what manner they play them in. The songs here are as good as or better than the old faves from the last 2 records.Color me impressed."
