A range of pop, country and jazz originals from singer-songwriter Ted Sink and a talented studio band. Two of the cuts are covers (Come Rain or Come Shine by Johnny Mercer and Harold Arlen, and Do Nothin Til You Hear From Me by Duke Ellington and Bob Russell), and nine are originals. This CD ventures into previously untried territory with the semi-hip hop title tune, the almost-reggae Upstairs Room and the pseudo Beach Boys-ish Take Me Away . Like Ted s earlier work, Nothing Changes was recorded, mixed and mastered by Andy Happel, who also appears on violin, keyboards and some vocal harmonies. Other performers include Kent Allyn (bass, guitar and piano), Robbie Coffin (lead guitar), Wayne Brewer (pedal steel guitar) Jim Rioux and Sean Daniels (drums), Tim Sink (alto and tenor sax) and Carri Coltrane on vocal harmonies. The two covers are live acoustic recordings, as is the unlisted bonus track Midnight Angel Unplugged.
