"I cannot believe nobody knows this woman!
I must admit i'm rather late in the discovery. I picked up an album on emusic by a group called the Generic Blondes - the name sounded cool and so I downloaded it...and it was AWESOME!
Now, I must admit I'm very drawn to a woman with a guitar and a fantastic voice - so when I heard Taylor on that album, I was blown away. And ran to get everything else...hehe.
She weaves a great mix of female rock, from the Pretenders to a chip of Blondie. And does it all with a voice that could probably lift the roof off my house if I dared turn it up full (I have neighbors, what can ya do?).
It's good for listening as background music, but to get the full meaning you really have to listen to the lyrics. Taylor is a very intelligent writer, and pens a lot about people.Um...don't get it if you don't like powerful women...cos...uh...otherwise you'll pretty much end up burning it or something cos you're dumb. :) hehe"
