Tarot was originally formed by the Hietala brothers in the early 80's. They have endured lineup changes, hiatuses, their mainman joining the biggest metal band in Finland (Nightwish) and poor distribution and are now ready to unleash their North American debut album! Though this is their ninth studio album overall, this will be the first with widespread distribution. Though they have enjoyed a broad underground popularity in Finland and throughout Europe, the band has never been very famous elsewhere until gaining new success in the recent years when their singer and bassist Marco Hietala joined Nightwish in 2002. Now with this seasoned experience on and off the road, Gravity of Light is one of their most well-rounded albums yet! It has debuted at #2 in their home country of Finland and will surely turn heads in the US as well
