WOW!!! They still make Hip-Hop this FRESH!?!?!

"Oh my god yes...oh my god! These famous words from Busta Rhymes in the classic Tribe Called Quest joint "Oh My God" were my sentiments after hearing this from start to finish for the first time. And after another 20 or so listens, I still feel the same way! This is seriously a certifiable CLASSIC Hip-Hop album in every respect: Dope beats, rhymes, concept, skits, even the layout of the inlet! Classic! The dudes of Tanya Morgan have crafted a concept album so solid that De La Soul would be proud! To say these 3 dope boys are influenced by the likes of De La Soul would be an understatement as they bear a lot of resemblance to Hip-Hop's perennial innovators. They're not bitin' De La's style, just using their blueprint for innovation!



Simply put, there is not 1 throwaway cut on here! Straight up and down solid material. This is such a rarity that I now have this in my 5 disc changer next to De La Soul is Dead, Midnight Marauders, Word...Life and Stress: The Extinction Agenda!



The whole concept of BrooklyNati makes sense; These guys are making music so unlike the Hip-Hop of today that they needed to create an alternate universe for people to even comprehend the greatness of their music. Anyone fed up with the current state of wackness in Hip-Hop should take a trip here as everything is lovely in BrooklyNati!"

"Tanya Morgan is the internet darling group because they all met online, formed a group, and have been successful. It's a nice story, but ultimately I think it shades people's views of the group.



They come with a similar vibe as groups like Little Brother, mellow - jazzy throwback beats mixed with a straight forward conscious rap style.



If that's what you love then you will love Tanya Morgan and this CD especially. It's a nice album and I commend them for having this chemistry and cohesive sound considering how the group came about.



That said, for me personally, this formula starts to wear thin on the album and get a little repetitive. If they would have just cut say 3-4 of the weakest tracks off the album then you'd be dealing with a more potent product. Still a very good CD for the 2009."

"Finally an album you dont feel regretful about spending your hard earned money on. Hands down the most refreshing listen of the year. Anyone who likes artists such as Jurassic 5, De la Soul, ATCQ, Organized Konfusion, Little Brother, etc. should check this one out. Production handled by Von Pea, Brick Beats, and Aeon. All the tracks are on point and the lyrics are witty as well. Each member has there own distinct voice and style so it never gets boring. A shout out to Tanya Morgan for representin' real hip hop. DONT DOWNLOAD IT, BUY IT."
