"Does tango have to be music for machos? This album is about a musical search, the search for an identity of a tanguera, who represents a nostalgia, a memory of better times past. The young Argentinian singer Sylvana Deluigi sets an end to traditional tango cliche. Her musical voyage encompasses classic tango from Discepolos to Carlos Gardel, feministic ballads of Eladia Blazquez, and descriptions about a changes in life and society in such ballads as "De Fulanas y Menganas". This is a very accomplished young talent, her voice has already all the finest of tanguera qualities. This is a live recording of a concert in Berlin in Nov, 1989."
