A Recording Not To Be Over Looked

"Richard Hickox is certainly a brilliant conductor and has spared nothing with Beethoven's most beautiful symphoney. All the warmth and texture that embodies this piece is splendidly crafted from the musicians and from the baton of Hickox. The tempos are not rushed but maintain a forward thrust that climatically erupts in the Storm movement. Then in the Final mvt. Hickox gorgeously unveils what I believe to be the most transfixing and moving of Beethoven's works. The overtures on this disc are just as engaging and I have yet to have heard a better recording of Promethues. Bravo!"
