"I attended the live performance of this recording by the Pittsburgh Symphony this afternoon, Feb.9, 2002. It was magnificent, leading to a standing ovation, which is not awarded easily by this audience.Mariss Jansons draws his orchestra into their performance to their maximum capability. He conducts like a fine dancer, presenting a visual interpretation of the music as he leads the orchestra into a state of harmonious engagement. I was fully swept into the music.I highly recommend this performance."
