"Sylvia Telles is a Brazilian songbird who became notorious by her delicate phrasing, deep sense of swing and for her Bossa Nova repertoire.

The late Ms. Telles was one of the first songbirds to adhere to Bossa Nova and she has recorded virtually all the Bossa Nova standards, always with extremely good taste.

'Pure Bossa' shows a compilation of her recordings for Philips/Elenco Records (under Universal label today), her second label after Odeon/EMI.

A good selection. All sung in Portuguese."
