"Classic album... originally released on New Red Archives records circa 1994. Buy it now. It was unfairly overlooked in the mid' 90's heyday and it's as fantastic today as it was back then. A punk classic that dulls the varnish off the Rancid, Dropkicks records you thought were invincibile.
Flipside had handed down some serious praise upon this bay-area bunch of lads in the beginning (which was RARE). There is working class, DIY pride on this album too... recorded on weekends and self financed from what I had read. Five guys into Stiff Little Fingers, UK Subs and Minutemen records, cranking out tunes for the love of it. Truth be told bands were not so ridiculously obsessed with worshipping the Clash at this time. My point being the Utters' sound was mildly fresh and rejuvenating on the ears circa 1995... it was a good time for music and this album was an all too brief hotspot along the way."

"Before i was'nt to keen on this album and now the street punk sounds amazing to me i cant recommened this album enough these guys rock. What i like about them is the amount of solo work they include with there material and for a first album to have 19 songs that all sound quality and not the same is a hard thing to do put they pull it off. The swingin utters play 70's English punk style music i think you could best decribe them as a more polished version of the clash's debut album or anything by the uk subs who are another band that sound similar to this first swingin utters (streets of san fransico) only they came before the utters (another good 70's punk band) they also remind me of the adolescents. One more thing the swingin utters are not apparently from San fransico right? who cares just pick this great album up."
