"I cannot express how grateful I am for this CD. It while I was listening to the amazing voices of these women that God helped me find my way out of a depression (I know it sounds corny, but it's true). While nothing compares to seeing this group perform live, all of their albums are incredible and a must to own. This one has a very spiritual focus, while others sometimes focus more on secular problems. No matter which album you choose, if you like music that is beautiful in every sense of the word, Sweet Honey in the Rock will not dissapoint you."
If you don't get up and dance with this cd, check your pulse

"These ladies sing and grab you by the heart and spine and lift you up. There's no way to describe their heart and soul and voice except to sing with them and know what they know. I'm not a black woman nor am I a black man, but hearing these truths I wouldn't mind being either because these strong women are part of my heritage. They don't lie and neither can you."
Powerful gospel impact

"This group HARMONIZES. I love singing along with them in my car. The songs are easy to sing with, and are so emotionally driven that you feel like these are your words (only was I ever so eloquent?). One of their best albums (In this Land is also strong). Also, there is a great baby song...this would make a great shower gift."
