"I saw this band live in concert back in 1974 and the memory of that performance is still with me today. This band features the hard hitting vocals of the late , great Brian Connelly and Andy Scott paved the way for future aspiring rock guitarists. These guys were a "glam band" for a long time but their music was SOLID ROCK.Do yourself a big favour and buy his album which contains 30 year old songs which sound as fresh today as they did way back then.Rest In Peace Brian. You ae sadly missed."
Different Road Travelled

"Sweet was unique in that a variety of album versions were released due to the country, which has become frustrating for some fans who want a CD release of an LP they remember or are seeking out due to hearing about the band.
The top five U.S. single - The Ballroom Blitz - is not included on this CD, which is the U.K. album from 1974. An incredible version of The Who's My Generation, an "alternate" version of Lady Starlight - which appeared in the U.S. on the 1976 album, Give Us A Wink - along with The Six Teens, the power pop Fox on the Run and Breakdown are the highlights.
It may be a different road travelled, but it shows the band beginning to emerge out of the "Glam Rock" era with a distinctive sound and style that would reach its peak several years later."
